What Prepared You Take On This New Role?

As President & CEO of M&I Community Development Corporation, my objective was to invest in housing and economic developing projects that would revitalize neighborhoods and create opportunities for more growth.

With Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, my objective is very similar. I want to lead efforts to revitalize neighborhoods by reaching more children in more places, with more hours and deliver innovative, proven programs that impart valuable life lessons.

Hello and welcome to the CEO’s Corner! It’s an honor to be part of such a widely respected organization like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and be part of its 125 year history. Over the next the several days, I’ll launch this blog by answering questions to help you get to know more about me and the Clubs.

What type of leadership do you want to provide?

As President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, I want to provide clarity, accountability and transparency.

Clarity of our mission encompasses using all our power to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring responsible citizens. Also, our actions should be clear and tied to outcomes such as measuring how much our members are gaining academically and personally through their participation in Club programs.

Accountability is making sure staff, Trustees, donors, volunteers are all on the same page. We want to provide more value to the public in addressing issues that affect Milwaukee’s youths.

Lastly, I want the agency to be transparent in its work – always striving to achieve the next level of success because we have so much riding on this, our children and the community's future.
